Offered in lot2382 and certified MS-67 by NGC, the newly discovered piece sawfierce bidding activity up to $192,000, establishing a new public auctionrecord for this rare modern Mint error. This new price record significantly surpassedthe previous record of $158,625, set by Stacks Bowers Galleries in theirAugust 2012 Philadelphia ANA Sale.
